• How do I make a reservation?
    You can place a reservation online by clicking here or by clicking the appropriate link on the middle side of the page.
  • When can I reserve for accommodation?
    One month reservation in advance is good. In fact, SafeHomestay will mark your reservation as first priority but we will need to reconfirm the reservation two weeks before your arrival date to Toronto. If in between today and the day before the reconfirmation date another customer makes a reservation that is same to your reservation date, I will email you and you need to decide if you want to confirm your reservation. The customer with earlier reservation will have priority.
  • How can I confirm my reservation?
    You will receive a confirmation voucher by email. Your confirmation voucher lists your reservation details (guest information, name and contact number, arrival and check-out dates, room type, total price and accommodation address). Click here for voucher sample.
    * In some circumstances you may required to pay a non-refundable deposit for your booking to be confirmed, through PayPal or Interac.
  • I don't know my arrival dates, can I still make a reservation?
    Safe Homestay only accept reservation with fixed dates. You can always change later (if there is availability).

  • How do I get to you from Pearson International Airport?
    .by Ground Transportation - Bus and Subway. Outside terminal: take bus #192 airport "Rocket" to Kipling Station. Go downstairs at the station. Take the East Bound subway to the Yonge/Bloor stop. Exit train. Head to the North Bound subway. Take the North Bound subway to Sheppard stop. Exit train. Take the East Bound subway to Don Mill station. Exit train -Follow the Map - 5 minutes walking to Safehomestay. (Estimate 1 1/2 to 2 hours from airport)
    .by Car rental - There are a variety of car rental agencies located at Pearson Airport. Customers may pick up and return their rental cars on the first and/or the basement level of Terminal 1 parking garage, and Terminal 3. For further information or reservations please contact the car rental agencies directly.
    .by Taxi - Toronto's distinctive black and yellow licensed cabs are usually in thankful abundance in ranks outside the terminals. You may have to queue but this normally moves very quickly.
    .You can organize a pick-up from the airport for the day you due to arrive at SafeHomestay. Our mini van can carry 3-4 people with 6-7 pieces of luggage. The cost of this service is CAD$70.00 (including one trip grocery shopping+showing where is the TTC Subway Station)
  • What time can we arrive and depart?
    Check-in at 1:00pm or after, and check-out 11am or before. We hope you have such a great time that you don't want to leave, and that we don't want you to leave either; but, out of courtesy to the next guests coming in, there are no exceptions to this rule.


  • Can you please indicate the prices? Are there any hidden costs?
    The prices are in the website and there is no extra charge or hidden cost (net charges). There are no additional charges for gas, electricity, water or local calls.
  • In which currency should I pay?
    Prices are expressed in Canadian dollars. We only accept Canadaian Dollars. Make sure that this point is clear before confirming the reservation.

  • What is the difference between short-term and long-term?
    Short-term is within 3 months, Long-term is over 3 months. The shorter the stay, the more expensive it is.
  • Do children pay less?
    Children under the age of 3 are free.
  • Is there a minimum nights stay?
    Three nights is the minimum stay, but this can depend on the time of year. Please contact us if you wish to stay less than three nights.
  • If I have overnight guests?
    Overnight guests may be allowed if notified and approved in advance. Guests will be required to pay the one night fee for each night they stay.
  • What happens if we need to cut our vacation short and leave early?
    For long-term accommodation : Notice of cancellation must be given at least 2 weeks (14 days) in advance. With proper notice of cancellation, a rent refund may be made. Daily, weekly and monthly stays are not refundable.
  • Do we need to clean the room before we leave?
    Yes and no: you're not expected to do any actual "cleaning", but you are expected to leave the room in a reasonable order, to gather and bag your trash put it in the trash can, and to wash your own dishes and put them away ... in other words, you don't need to clean it, just pick up your own mess!
  • Is there a convenient store or restaurant in walking distance ?
    Yes there are convenience stores, grocery stores and restaurants (mall food court) within walking distance.
  • Do your rooms have air-conditioning?
    Yes, all rooms are equipped with air-condition.(heating and cooling)

  • Do you have cooking & laundry facilities?
    Kitchen - You can cook in our 2 complete guest kitchens.
    Coin Laundry - A washer and dryer is available for your use, you have to supply your own detergent and fabric softener.

  • Will I have a phone and internet connection in my room?
    All rooms have free Wi-Fi internet access. If you have a laptop with wireless internet connection you can access the network from anywhere in the house. We only have a guest telephone in our living room (free local call). The telephone is shared between all residents. There is a 10 minute maximum call period. If you would like to make a long distance call, then you are required to purchase a long distance calling card.
  • Do you have a parking?
    Yes we do have free parking.
  • Are bed linen, pillow and towels provided?
    Freshly laundered bed linen is provided . Towels are not provided.
